The representative of the Arab-Kurdish “Syrian democratic forces” (SDS), Mustafa Bali, Turkey has threatened “total war” if Ankara will start a military operation in the North of Syria. The corresponding statement he made in his Twitter account.
“SDS is committed to the framework of the security mechanism and take the necessary steps to preserve stability in the region. However, we will not hesitate to make any unprovoked attack Turkey in all-out war across the border, to protect itself and its people,” wrote Bali.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara is ready for operation in Syria. “Turkey is not going to close eyes on US support of terrorists, YPG/PKK (people’s protection Units Kurdish and the PKK, respectively — approx. Tape.ru)”, — said the Turkish leader. He added that currently the region also operates the VTS, which, according to the President, too, is a terrorist.
Turkey considers terrorists representatives of the Syrian Kurdish “Democratic Union” (PYD) and the YPG. They control areas in Northern Syria, they have traditionally supported the US.
