The white house is considering the possibility of withdrawal from the Treaty on open skies. About this on its website said a member of the Democratic party, Chairman of the Committee on foreign Affairs of the house of representatives Eliot Engel.
According to him, the Treaty has provided an important military transparency to 34 signatory countries, and the withdrawal of Washington from it will benefit only Russia. Also this step would damage the national security interests of U.S. allies that the White house not consulted on this issue.
