A terrorist opened fire near a synagogue and killed two people in the German city of Halle, has published online its Manifesto, which explains the reasons for the attack. It is reported by the tabloid Bild.
The main part of the document — the description of a homemade submachine gun, shotgun, and grenades manufactured by a terrorist. It further sets out the terms of its penetration into the synagogue and talks about his flaws. At the end of the plan, he explains that at first wanted to attack a mosque or a cultural center of anti-fascists, as they are worse protected, but decided to attack the synagogue, as he considers Jewish members of the “Zionist occupation government”. The police believed that the offender was held neo-Nazi views.
The killer, 27-year-old Stefan balje, broadcast his attack online. Before the attack he stated he did not believe in the Holocaust, and called Jews the cause of feminism and mass immigration.
Neo-Nazi could not get to the synagogue, where at this time there were dozens of people, because security locked the door from the inside. He tried to get inside with explosives, but failed, then shot a passing woman and threw a grenade over the fence in the Jewish cemetery. Then he went to the Turkish carabou and killed the seller.
Shortly after this, the offender engaged in a firefight with police. Balje has managed to break away from the police and hijacked a taxi, injuring the driver. But escape he could not — he was detained on the highway shortly after the shooting.
That the identity of the offender is established, it became known already in the evening of 9 October. This day balje chose to attack, as this date is Yom Kippur the most important holiday in Judaism. It is a day of fasting, repentance and remission of sins.
