The former Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Hope Savchenko called the tipping point, when the former head of state Petro Poroshenko “lost” the country. She told NewsOne in the broadcast, the broadcast on the YouTube channel.
According to her, it happened in 2015 after the signing Poroshenko Minsk agreements and the approval of a “formula Steinmeier”. Savchenko drew attention to the inconsistency of the relations of the former Ukrainian leader to the protests that erupted in Kiev after Poroshenko’s decision four years ago and the signing of the peace agreements Donbass President Vladimir Zelensky at the moment.
“He always said that we should not rock the boat. And why now this abomination has no right to destabilize the country? And these meetings are beneficial only to those politicians who lost the elections”, — said Savchenko.
“Formula Steinmeier” on the peaceful settlement defines a mechanism for securing special status of Donbass and Amnesty and the holding of elections on uncontrollable Kiev territories of the unrecognized republics. On 1 October the document was signed by participants of tripartite contact group on conflict settlement in the South-East of Ukraine. October 6, thousands of Ukrainians took to the streets to protest against the implementation of “formula Steinmeier”. The demonstrators believe that the acceptance of its terms means the surrender of Ukraine.
Part of Donbass is out of control in Kiev as a result of armed conflict. In April 2014, the Ukrainian government began a military operation against the Donetsk and Lugansk national republics, which declared independence from Kiev after the change of the Central government. Kiev has repeatedly accused Moscow of involvement in the fighting. Russia denies all allegations, pointing out their unfounded.
