Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik commented on the victory over American Chaz Witherspoon in the first fight in the heavyweight division. The words of the athlete are presented in Twitter account streaming service DAZN.
Usik said that now ready to fight with the strongest representatives of the heavyweight division. Moreover, the Ukrainian said he was ready to fight for the championship belt in this category.
The fight against Witherspoon held on October 13 in Chicago. 38-year-old opponent of the Tendril refused to continue the fight after the seventh round. Thus, Usyk won the 17-th victory in his professional career. Ukrainians never suffered defeat.
Witherspoon has agreed to come out against the Mustache for four days before the fight. Initially, the Ukrainians had to fight with the Dutchman Tyrone Spong, but the organizers refused to boxer because of a positive doping test. It later emerged that a third doping test Spong has not shown presence in its organism of traces of prohibited drugs.
