The decision to increase the salaries of civil servants, including Governor of Irkutsk region Sergey Levchenko, due to the increase in the budget of the region. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the government of Irkutsk region.
So, the revenue part of the budget of the Irkutsk region increased by 88 percent over four years, in connection with which the head of the region instructed to raise the salaries of all provincial public servants in equal size.
It is noted that the level of salaries in the system of government agencies has not changed since 2012, but only double-indexed — four percent in 2018 and 2019 years, in line with inflation. At the same time, since 2012 the salary of a number of workers of the basic personnel of state institutions in the region increased 2.3 times for the execution of the may decrees, remembered in a press-service.
9 October it became known that Levchenko proposed to raise his salary by 44 percent to 27 thousand rubles. In a press-service of the regional government said the head of the region decided to increase his salary because of the decree of the President of the indexing of wages of civil servants from October 1, 2019.
Later Levchenko explained that the increase in his salary is needed to resolve the issue of increasing wages of employees of budgetary institutions. According to him, wages of public sector employees depends on the salary of the Governor.
