Industrial companies show active interest to participate in the creation of scientific-educational centers (REC) in the framework of the national project “Science.” This was stated by the Minister of science and higher education of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kotyukov, reports TASS.
According to him, the partners are already playing a leading role in the projects of the first five created in Russia REC. “For the first five projects, we see that the interest of companies is very serious. Their plans, including financial, justify our expectations,” said Kotyukov.
In August, Minister of education and science said that he expects the creation of the REC in one of the regions of the North Caucasus. Then Kotyukov noted that this possibility had already been discussed with the Governor of Stavropol territory Vladimir Vladimirov, but stressed that a final decision on the location of the center will be made on a competitive basis.
RECs are created in Russia within the Federal program “Development of scientific and scientific-production cooperation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024, the country must receive a minimum of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, 14 competence centres of STI, scientific and research centers. For the program it is planned to allocate 215 billion rubles.
