Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk explained his visit to a concert of a neo-Nazi group “sokira Peruna”. He wrote about it on the page in Facebook.

According to him, he visited the event to meet with representatives of the “movement of the veterans of Ukraine” to congratulate them and make a contribution to this charity at the hospital.

The Prime Minister explained that he had not declared the participation in this event, as I didn’t want to do this “public case”.

“The program of activity of our government, we separately ordered that the attitude of the veterans in society must be reverent and respectful. We must begin with own example. To congratulate those who are sacrificing their lives and comfort to protect our country, the least I could to do last night,” — said Goncharuk.

Earlier Monday it was reported that Goncharuk attended a concert of right-wing musicians. As evidence is a photo with a politician standing on stage in the background Kolovrat used by neo-Nazi groups as their symbols. It is argued that Goncharuk visited the show, “sokira Peruna”. The concert was Andrew Medvedko, who is accused of the murder of directions.

The event Goncharuk said: “what you have, gives us the opportunity to do what, I think we’re good. We work for you. I’m here for you. Thank you, and celebrate! You are very cool”.

In the spring of 2018 Kyiv police opened a criminal case against this group due to the use of swastikas and other Nazi symbols, as well as because of the fascist calls and quotations from the statements of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. The group denies any involvement in neo-Nazism.
