Sobchak demanded to bring to criminal responsibility for the words about Crimea

The Prosecutor’s office of Russia received a petition with a demand to initiate a criminal case against a TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak about her words about ownership of the Crimea, reports

A letter to the Department sent the Chairman of the “Party of veterans of Russia,” Ildar Rezyapov. He believes that statements by leading contain a “blatant political provocation of the Russian liberals”. Rezyapov also appealed to the Investigation Committee.

In the message prosecutors said that the treatment given “for the organization consideration in the operating unit”.

In September Sobchak took part in the broadcast on the radio station in Kiev. She told me about a universal answer to the question of supplies of Crimea. According to the leader, Russia has violated international law, and the territory of the Peninsula should be returned. Sobchak has explained that for this to be conducted by “any referendum”. However, it is also advised to avoid the phrase “return the Crimea”.

Sobchak criticized for the words about the Crimea in previous years. In October 2017, leading in his first press conference in the status of the candidate in presidents of Russia declared that from the point of view of international law the Crimea belongs to Ukraine.

Because of this speech Sobchak, the head of the Interregional public organization of consumer protection “Civil patrol” Rostislav Antonov sent a letter to the Prosecutor. From the Department, a reply was received stating that the leader of the Peninsula no signs of extremism.

Crimea became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of voters the people of the region supported this decision. Kiev continues to consider the Peninsula as its territory, which Russia is “temporarily occupied”. Most of the countries — members of the UN Russian sovereignty over Crimea is not recognized.
