Sales of antidepressants and sedatives in Russian pharmacies in the first eight months of 2019 has grown by 12-15 per cent compared to the same period last year, follows from the review of company DSM Group, excerpts of which lead to “Izvestia”.
From January to August 2019 in the Russian drugstores it sold 5.5 million packs of antidepressants at three billion rubles. This is 12 percent more than last year in volume and 15 percent in cash.
The most popular means of Russians were “Amitriptyline”, “Fluoxetine” and “Vivarin”.
According to the service “All pharmacies”, which also refers to the publication, sales of the sedative in the first eight months of 2019 also increased by 13 percent. In this category of drugs the most popular were “Afobazol”, “Novopassit” and “Persen”.
According to respondents edition experts, the economic conditions for growth sales in the form of increase of incomes of the population there. The current results are based on the dissatisfaction of people life and over-diagnosis of mental illness.
