In the second and third quarters 2019 revenues from increasing the rate of value added tax (VAT) to 20 percent grew by a record 25% and 22% compared to the previous year. This was reported in the Ministry of Finance, reports owned by Grigory Berezkin the RBC.
With respect to the first quarter of 2019, when VAT was still paid at the old rate of 18 percent, the budget will receive 507 billion rubles. Experts do not exclude that by the end of the year this figure can grow to almost 40 billion.
In the draft budget for the next three years indicated that from 2020 to 2022, the Russian budget will receive more than two trillion roubles from the VAT increase.
In 2020, the additional income is $ 639 billion in 2021-m — 686 billion., 2022 — 737 billion. The publication notes that in 2020 the revenue from the VAT increase is enough to cover the budget expenditures for housing and environmental protection, also charges almost fully ensure the payment of pensions to military and security forces.
