The Ukrainian Embassy in the USA has demanded to correct the map of Ukraine without Crimea, which had previously published the American edition of the New York Times. This is stated in the message of the Ukrainian representative in Washington on the page in Facebook.

“The Embassy once again appealed to the editors of The New York Times with an appeal not to allow mistakes in the image of the Crimea on the map of Ukraine and not to play into the hands of the Russian propaganda”, — said at the Embassy.

According to diplomats, journalists”, again used a map with a clear violation” of Ukraine’s borders. While the Embassy expressed hope for a quick reaction of journalists, “which is encouraged to convey to the American and world public the truth.”

In June, 2018 Kyiv demanded from Bloomberg to correct a previously published map with a “neutral” Crimea. The editorial Board soon announced the removal from its website of the card, which was designated the territorial affiliation of the Peninsula.

Crimea became part of Russia in March 2014 after a referendum in which the majority of respondents supported this idea. Kiev and the West believe that Russia occupied the Ukrainian territory. Moscow denies these accusations and insists that the vote was in accordance with international law.
