The Russians wanted to find a Mullah and set fire to a mosque

A resident of Ufa was trying to find a Mullah in a local mosque “Hamza” and accidentally set fire to the building. This was announced by the Department of the MIA of Russia in the Republic of Bashkortostan on its website.

The man told police that on the day of the incident, November 3, was in a state of alcoholic intoxication. As he passed the mosque, he saw that the door was not locked. Going into a dark room, utimes lit a match to find the priest, but met no one, dropped the match and went outside. Then the mosque started a fire.

A criminal case under article 167 of the Criminal code of Russian Federation (“Deliberate destruction or damage of property”). 39-year-old suspect said sorry about the incident. He is under house arrest.

Earlier in November, it was reported that the head of one of fire brigades of the Republic of Khakassia specially set fire to the house and premises to check the readiness of his unit to respond to a fire. Currently, he is arrested.
