The President of Russia Vladimir Putin took first place in the rating of trust of Donbas residents, ahead of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. This is indicated by the results of a survey conducted by the newspaper “Mirror of week” and Ukrainian Institute for the future.
Respondents were asked who among them is the trust and the authority. Putin chose 11.2 percent of the population, 1.3 percent of the respondents voted for Zelensky. Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov was in second place with 9.1 per cent votes.
In addition, people would call the names of the first Chapter DND Alexander Zakharchenko (6.7 percent), the current leader of the Republic Denis Pushilin (2.9 percent), the head of the Ukrainian party of Sharia Anatoly Sharia (1.7 percent), the head of political Council of party “Oppositional platform For life”, Viktor Medvedchuk (1.6 percent) and LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky (1.4 percent).
In the survey, residents of the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics (DND and LNR) have also asked the question about ownership of the territories of Donbass. Most of the respondents (50.9 percent) voted for joining Russia.
In 2014, in the South-East of Ukraine began the armed conflict. Clashes took place between the armed forces of Ukraine on the one hand and the militias of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, on the other.
