British Vogue photographer James Muller (James Muller) admired the appearance and behavior of the former model Leslie MacLennan (MacLennan Lesley) and invited her to participate in modern fashion photography. This writes The Sun.
The Englishman noticed the 85-year-old pensioner suffering from dementia when he visited the acquaintance of the resident of a nursing home in the village of Hindhead, Surrey. The man said that he was impressed, “the beautiful hands of Leslie and the way she was.”
“When I asked her to look in my direction or rotate the head, she did it with such grace — an absolute professional. (…) I wanted to put her beautiful hands in a shot, and every time I spoke to her this request, she did it with remarkable control,” said the photographer, noting that MacLennan calls “an absolute delight”.
Mueller added that during filming, the model’s age is absolutely not felt as “in aging, too much beauty”. He also lamented the fact that modern mass culture rarely trust the broadcast of the images for older models, and aging is considered wrong, despite the fact that this is a natural process.
According to the publication, at the age of 20 years, MacLennan has worked with the French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent. In particular, she showed the photographs of a new model of coats and hats.
In August one of the older glossy models from the UK took part in a photo shoot in a swimsuit 40 years ago. 68-year-old suzy Monty from Cornwall, England, began a modeling career at the age of 10, winning the competition show. Later, in adolescence, she showed bathing suits on the catwalks and took first place thanks to a perfect figure.
