The new head of the judiciary Committee of the Russian football Union (RFU) Ashot Khachaturyants told about the problems in this area. His words leads “Match TV”.
In particular, Khachaturyants believes that Russian referees need to improve financial conditions. “Many referees just begging! Otherwise you cannot call the money that they get — especially in the regions. Strange when people overcome dozens of kilometers for the sake of 500 or 1,000 rubles,” — said the functionary.
He stressed that football referee needs to have a decent salary. According to him, this should lead to increased prestige of the profession. Also, Khachaturyants drew attention to the need for rejuvenation of the judiciary.
51-year-old Khachaturyants entrepreneur. He was included in the judicial Committee of the RFU in June of this year. In his new post, he was replaced by Nicholas Levnikova.
