The head of JSC “Ukreximbank” Alexander Gritsenko was detained by the security Service of Ukraine (SBU), not kidnapped, contrary to media reports. Reported about it at himself on the page in Facebook press-the Secretary of the Minister Elena Gilanskaya.

“No kidnapping one of the members of the Board of JSC “Ukreximbank” was not. He was detained by security Service specialists of Ukraine on behalf of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine”, — is spoken in the message.

Gitlyanskaya said that the detention occurred in the framework of Ukrainian legislation. Now Gritsenko, according to her, is in temporary detention and his case is pending, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine. She said that he is suspected of money laundering and misappropriation of funds, as well as in the creation of a criminal organization.

That “stolen” Gritsenko actually detained by law enforcement agencies, earlier today it was reported by the Ukrainian media.

According to the classification of the national Bank of Ukraine for the 2018 Ukreximbank, fully owned by the state, one of the three systemically important banks of the country. This new status means that the bankruptcy of the organization may create risks for the financial system of the state.
