The former defender of Russian national team Andrey Kanchelskis commented on the defeat of the national team in the qualifying match of the European championship in 2020 with Belgium (1:4). His words leads “CHempionata”.
50-year-old expert said that on the field saw the team “different level”. According to him, the Belgians have not experienced difficulties in the match against the Russians “did not even promotely”.
“Claims to the players no — they tried hard, fought. Just, unfortunately, we have now such a level. It turned out that this team is one of the weakest in history”, he said.
November 16, the Russian team lost to Belgium with a score 1:4. The only goal for the Russians was scored Spartak’s Georgy Jikia. Both teams have already secured participation in the European championship-2020.
Kanchelskis known for his “Manchester United” and “Glasgow Rangers”. He defended the colors of three national teams — USSR, CIS and Russia. Team CIS he took part in the European championship in 1992.
