The Belarusian opposition was left without seats in Parliament

The opposition representatives were not included in the new composition of the lower chamber of the Belarusian Parliament. This is evidenced by the data published on the website of the CEC of the Republic.

According to preliminary data of the CEC of Belarus, the turnout was 77.2 per cent. Among the most prominent candidates elected to Parliament — the Chairman of the liberal democratic party Oleg Gaidukevich, “Miss Belarus — 2018” Maria Vasilevich, the head of the public Association “Belaya Rus” Gennady Davydko.

In addition, the new composition of the lower chamber of Parliament of Belarus will work as the Deputy head of the presidential administration of the Republic Valery Mitskevich, Deputy Minister of defence Oleg Belokonev, as well as the former Minister of information of Belarus Liliya Ananich.

Elected members represent the Belarusian Patriotic party, Republican party of labor and justice, the liberal democratic party and the public Association “Belaya Rus”.

November 17, Belarus held elections to the Chamber of representatives of the National Assembly — the lower house of Parliament. The citizens were to elect a 110 deputies. The monitoring of the parliamentary elections were representatives of the OSCE and the CIS. Just in the parliamentary elections in Belarus were about four thousand observers.
