Former midfielder of the national team of Russia on football Diniyar Bilyaletdinov remembered the defeat from Slovenia in the return play-off match for the right to play at the world Cup 2010. The word athlete leads Sports.ru.

We got nervous and themselves ruined everything,” — said Bilyaletdinov. On 44 minutes, the Slovenians opened the scoring. According to the player, his partner was not “emotional reserve” in order to put pressure on the opponent, besides in the second time the judge has removed two players of Russian national team.
The meeting ended with the victory of Slovenia with the score 1:0, which allowed them to qualify for the world Cup. “I didn’t understand what was happening. Came the devastation. I didn’t know how to react,” he described Bilyaletdinov. In the locker room, according to the description of the player, there was silence.
Slovenia went to the 2010 world Cup. The team were in group C, have taken third place and failed to qualify for the play-offs.
