Named the world’s least developed countries

The United Nations (UN) presented the list of least developed countries in the world. Writes about this TASS with reference to the report of the organization.

The list includes 47 States. This is mainly African and Asian countries and island States. Among them is Ethiopia, Madagascar, Afghanistan, Uganda, Zambia, Bangladesh, Solomon Islands, Laos, Cambodia, Yemen, Bhutan and others.

The authors of the report analyzed all countries based on three criteria: income per capita, human resources and economic vulnerability.

In September last year, the UN presented the rating of countries with the highest level of human development. Total rating included 189 countries — highly developed 59 and 38 countries with a low level of development. First place went to Norway. In this country life expectancy is just over 82 years, the average duration being around 12 years old, estimated — a little less than 18 years of age, and the volume of GNP grew by more than 68 thousand dollars.

Russia was in a rating on 49-m a place, after Oman and before Montenegro. The average life expectancy in Russia, the UN experts estimated at 71 years, mean years of schooling in 12 years, the estimated length is 15.5 years, and the GDP per capita amounted to 24 thousand dollars.
