The Syrian air defence repelled a missile attack on Damascus. It is reported by the Agency SANA.

It is noted that Syrian air defenses shot down several missiles at the area South of the city. That the city heard powerful explosions, also told RIA Novosti. Details of the incident are not reported.

Earlier, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Ankara is ready to resume operation in Syria if Russia and the United States does not fulfill its commitments on the withdrawal of Kurdish forces from the security zone. According to him, Moscow and Washington “to date, has not fulfilled” his promises.

Before the Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu said that the withdrawal of the Kurds completed ahead of schedule. Then on 1 November, Russia and Turkey began patrolling the area of the Syrian-Turkish border.

On 22 October the leaders of the two countries Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan after a six-hour talks agreed on the deployment of Russian military police and Syrian troops in the border area.
