In Russia will build new remand centres and prisons. About it on air of TV channel “Russia 24” said the head of the Federal service of execution of punishments (FSIN) Alexander Kalashnikov.
According to him, the Ministry needs to provide for the prisoners conditions, which correspond to the Russian and global standards. “Therefore, we in cooperation with the constituent entities of Russia will build more. First of all, it detention centers, prison facilities,” he said.
Kalashnikov also spoke about the plans for the establishment of new correctional centres where inmates can work, paying the debts of victims of crime.
Alexander Kalashnikov was appointed Director of the Federal penitentiary service of Russia on 8 October. Previously he was head of the FSB Department for the Krasnoyarsk territory.
