The Zavodsky district court of Kemerovo recognised 79-year-old resident of the city guilty of selling drugs. This was reported on the website of Kuzbass LU Russian interior Ministry.
As found out a consequence, a pensioner found a jar of heroin at home after the death of his son who suffered from drug addiction. After that, she decided to sell the substance. It has been proven with the attempted sale of eight grams of the drug.
During the searches, the woman found and seized 17 prepared to sell packages of heroin. On the grounds of attempted illegal sale of drugs was prosecuted.
The court recognised the pensioner guilty, however took into account the full recognition of the defendant’s guilt, old age and state of health. As a result, the woman was sentenced to five years of imprisonment with serving in a corrective colony of General regime.
In June 2016, the Lenin court of Perm has sentenced an 82-year-old pensioner nicknamed Baba Nyura-nishtyak accused of drug trafficking. She was sentenced to two years in a General regime colony.
