The Mi-8 helicopter made an emergency landing on the Taimyr Peninsula in the district of Khatanga. According to preliminary data, he had engine failure. About it reports “Interfax” citing a source.
According to the interlocutor of the Agency, the helicopter carried out a scheduled flight during which the commander reported on the ground about the engine failure.
In the MOE confirmed the data about the emergency landing. The Minister says that the message from the Mi-8 was received at 12:40 local time (8:40 GMT). The plane landed in the 206 kilometres from Khatanga in the Krasnoyarsk territory. Other details were not given.
Source TASS in the emergency services said that on Board were 17 people — 14 passengers and 3 crew members. There were no injuries.
