Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting in the Kremlin with German Chancellor Angela Merkel has proposed to discuss the most acute issues. At the beginning of the talks the Russian leader noted that on such issues and it was decided to concentrate, reports “Interfax”.
Merkel, in turn, noted that there is a whole list of topics about which she wants to discuss bilateral relations and international agenda. The Chancellor added that the speech, including referring the situation in Libya and Syria. According to Merkel, it is better to talk to each other than about each other.
About the visit of Merkel in Moscow reported on 6 January. It was noted that during the talks the sides will discuss international issues, including the situation in Syria and the escalation of tensions in the middle East as a result of American air strikes on the Baghdad airport on 3 January.
In addition, Putin and Merkel will talk about the conflict in Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached at the December summit in the Normandy format in Paris.
