Apple told us how to detect dementia in elderly users of iPhone and other smartphones. About the experiment, the company reported on the website of MIT Technology Review.

The researchers of the Corporation used to detect degenerative brain diseases application usage stats. In the 12-week experiment involved 113 patients aged 60 to 75 years, 31 participants had previously been diagnosed with cognitive impairment. Using artificial intelligence experts have found that dementia can be determined by the speed of application usage, average session time and other additional data.

Used Apple model allowed to find patients with the symptoms of degenerative diseases with an accuracy of 80 percent. The experts noted that the accuracy depends on the number of applications used by the observed.

In conclusion, the doctors stated that they created the model will help to remotely diagnose degenerative diseases in the early stages. According to them, 15 to 20 percent of seniors over 65 suffer from mild cognitive impairment that can develop in Alzheimer’s disease.

Previously, the CPS told the Russians how to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. The Ministry is advised to exercise for people over 65 years of age the recommended weekly limit loads was 150 minutes.
