Five million square meters of housing built in Moscow in 2019, which was the highest figure since 1965. Then in the city were the massive construction of blocks. It is reported by family-owned Demyan Kudryavtsev, the newspaper “Vedomosti” with reference to Deputy mayor of Moscow on urban policy and construction Marat Khusnullin.
The volume of housing construction in the capital last year, almost caught up to 1965, when it was put about five million square meters. In 2019 in Moscow was built of 4.96 million “squares”. For comparison, under Yuri Luzhkov in 2007, built of 4.82 million square meters, which at the time was a record of the XXI century.
As notes the edition, not the last role in the growth of construction 2019 played Moscow the program of renovation of the housing stock. “Last year, the budget introduced 45 houses with an area of over one million square meters”, — said the Deputy mayor. In 2020, under the program of renovation in the capital it is planned to introduce another 65 homes.
According to Khusnullin, this record was achieved primarily due to the expansion of administrative borders of Moscow in 2011-2012. Last year, only 1.1 million of the total volume of new housing was located within the old city boundaries. Another factor of considerable growth of housing construction in Moscow, the official said, become the change of equity legislation, which spurred developers faster to pass the house.
A maximum of housing construction in operation in 2019 was made in St. Petersburg for the first time since 2014. Just between 2014 and 2018 in St. Petersburg put 16.9 million square meters of housing. The greatest number of houses were built in the Primorsky district.
