The press service noted that the root information is available “to discredit the clergy of the Archdiocese”. He is accused of sending an SMS to the priests with questions about the details of the Congress, held on 16 December 2019.
In the warning, the metropolis indicates a willingness to protect the honor and dignity in court, and punish Korneva according to Church rules, “until weaning”. Within the diocese the journalist was known as a sinner — so he calls the press service at the end of treatment.
In the blog “Belgorod №1” Kornev said that he turned to the priests because of the received an anonymous letter, which said about one of the topics of the Congress. It was alleged that the Metropolitan of Belgorod and Stary Oskol John “educated” priests from Stary Oskol because it discussed the practice of “charging by the Metropolitan of funds from the clergy when visiting the parishes”.
Kornev tried to contact them to verify the correctness of the information. He made some calls, sent one TEXT and two messages on the social network “Vkontakte”. The blogger also noted that in 2016, interviewed the Metropolitan, it is published on the website of the diocese.
