The United States will continue sanctions policy against Iran as long as Tehran does not stop terrorist activities. This was announced by US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo, reports TASS.
Another condition he called the Tehran agreement on a credible verification regime of the Iranian nuclear program. “We restored deterrence, but it’s not forever, because risks remain. We are working hard not to lose [level] deterrent,” added Pompeo.
January 13 the President of the United States Donald trump said that the White house will try to prevent Iran to get nuclear weapons and not to allow its authorities to kill the demonstrators.
Earlier in January it became known that anti-Iran U.S. sanctions have led to the loss of Tehran 80 percent of income. In addition, Iran can’t access almost 90% of foreign exchange reserves.
Donald trump announced the new sanctions against Iran after the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps (IRGC) attacked two U.S. air bases in Iraq and announced the beginning of the operation “Martyr Soleimani” against the military involved in the death in Baghdad of the commander of the special forces “al-Quds” major General Qassem Soleimani. All the facilities of the United States had fired dozens of rockets of a class “earth — earth”.
