The objectives of the US in relations with Iran — not to allow the Islamic Republic to acquire nuclear weapons and not to allow its authorities to kill the demonstrators. Whether this be accomplished through negotiations, doesn’t care what the US President Donald trump said he’s on Twitter.
The President told his national security adviser has called the sanctions and protests are possible reasons that will compel Iran to agree to negotiations. “Actually, I do not care whether they will go to negotiate. It is entirely up to them, but no nuclear weapons and do not kill their protesters,” wrote trump. The same message is duplicated in the Persian language.
Before it was reported that some of the Iranians in social networks reacted negatively to the fact that the US President used their language. They doubted that the American leader actually supports the people, “the hero whom he killed.” Meant General Qasem Soleimani, who was killed on 3 January during a special operation in Iraq.
A day earlier trump was supporting the protest in Iran. “Brave and suffering to the Iranian people: I support you from the beginning of his presidency, my government will continue to support you. We are closely monitoring your protests. Your courage is inspirational,” he wrote in Persian in his Twitter.
Mass anti-government protests because of a downed Ukrainian aircraft of Boeing 737-800 under Tehran began on Saturday, January 11. The reason for the speeches was the recognition of Tehran’s guilt in the tragedy. The campaign runs under the slogan “Resignation is not enough for prosecution”.
Boeing 737-800 “Ukraine International airlines” (UIA) caught fire and crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran airport on 8 January. Killed 176 people, including 83 of the Iranian.
