The cinema Fund filed a lawsuit on 45 million roubles against the company KD Studios, formerly known as Kinodanz. The defendant was accused of bad budgetary funds allocated for the creation of the tape “Abigail”, writes “Interfax” on Monday, January 13.
It is noted that the money for the picture of the cinema Fund was given on the terms of absolute return. The press service of the Fund said that the obligations of the company have not been fully implemented.
At the beginning of 2019 Kinodanz tried to sue the blogger BadComedian (real name Evgeny Bazhenov), accusing him of violating the norms of citation of the movie “Beyond reality” in his video posted on YouTube. In the lawsuit, the organization demanded that the defendant remove the roller and compensation in the amount of one million rubles. Later Kinodanz and Bazhenov entered into a settlement agreement.
“Abigail,” directed by Alexander Boguslavsky was released in August 2019. The film flopped at the box office, his fees amounted to less than 105 million rubles in the budget of approximately 155 million.
