Ukraine took the fourth place in terms of unemployment in Europe in the third quarter of 2019. This was reported in “market work”, published on the website of the Ministry of economic development, trade and agriculture of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry, the unemployment rate in Ukraine among the citizens from 15 to 70 years was 7.3 percent. Above this figure was only in Spain (13.9%), Italy (9.1 per cent) and France (8.3 percent).
Also in the top five European countries by unemployment rate came in Cyprus — where the figure was 6.8 percent. Least of all the unemployed were in the Czech Republic — 2.1%. All countries Europe index was calculated amongst citizens from 15 to 74 years.
In July 2019, it was reported that almost one-fifth of Ukraine’s total population is working abroad. According to 2018, abroad was 3.2 million Ukrainian labour migrants.
