Consumer prices on gasoline in Russia from 1 to 9 January increased by 0.1%, diesel fuel went up by 0.2 percent. This is stated in the message published on the website of Rosstat.
Before the increase in fuel prices was recorded a few months ago: in the period from 23 to 29 July. It clarifies the “Interfax”, the current dynamics of diesel fuel can be attributed to seasonal demand as in the autumn drivers are switching from summer grade to winter and demand increases.
In October 2019, the reported record demand for gasoline in Russia (1 percent). Experts pointed out that the situation of the gasoline market is serious, and can be regarded as an alarming sign. Over the last decade, such a fall in demand for fuel was observed only in 2015, but then it affected the changed economic environment.
