The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Israel refused to consider public glorification of those responsible for the murder of Jews during the Holocaust, Ukraine’s internal problem. The answer to Kiev, the office has published on its website.

January 9, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Israel Gennady Nadolenko said that public condemnation of the Israeli Ambassador in Kiev, Joel Lyon, glorification of Ukrainian nationalists after the procession in honor of the anniversary of the birth of Stepan Bandera counterproductive. Nadolenko noted that “the revival and preservation of” the national memory of Ukrainians today is one of the priorities of the state policy of the Kiev authorities.
Mentioned torchlight procession took place on 1 January. It was organized by “Right sector” (banned in Russia), as well as the parties “Freedom” and “national building”. In the evening, the nationalists began the traditional procession in the Park of Taras Shevchenko, where he headed downtown.
Stepan Bandera, collaborated closely in the Second world war with Nazi Germany, he headed the OUN in 1929. In October 1959, was liquidated by KGB agent Bogdan Stashinsky in Munich.
