A native of the city of Murom (Vladimir oblast) and her husband American bought an abandoned 120-year-old Church in Maryland and turned it into a mansion. It is reported by news portal “Муром24”.

In 2011, the Russian Anastasia Petkova went on a Work & Travel program in the United States, where he met future husband Gunther Du Hoffmann. The young people were soon married, and in 2017, purchased the building of the Church, because he wanted to live in a “house with history”. The purchase cost couple of 350 thousand dollars (21.5 million rubles), repair in the amount of 20 thousand dollars (1.2 million rubles). “If we knew the termites, cold… But everything can be overcome as long as we are together,” the couple said in an interview with “Voice of America”. Now they have become local celebrities and share in social networks photos of the mansion.

In total, the house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, attic and three-story bell tower. Also Du Hoffmanni restored original stained glass Windows of the last century. Behind the Church there is an ancient cemetery.
