The President of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Sergey Pryadkin was summoned for questioning to the investigative Department of the MIA of Russia. It is reported by REN TV.
According to the source, Pryadkin questioned in connection with the investigation of the criminal case on a fixed match between the clubs “the Seagull” and “Chernomorets”, which was held may 13, 2019 in the framework of the 27th round of the “Olympus of the Championship of Professional football League zone South” (3:1). What status Pryadkin spoke with law enforcement officers, is not specified.
It also indicates that during the investigation, searches were conducted at the sports officials in Moscow, Rostov-on-don, Krasnodar, Adler and Novorossiysk.
17 Dec 2019 Pryadkin told about the possible reforms in the Russian football. He said that it is planned to increase rounds in the Russian League, expanding the League to 18 teams, the introduction of the playoffs, as well as the stadiums roofs.
