Ukrainians are less likely to go to Russia

Citizens of Ukraine in 2019 are less likely to go to Russia. This was reported on the website of the State border service of Ukraine.

According to authorities, over the past year the number of Ukrainians who crossed the border with Russia, has decreased by 800 thousand. Passenger traffic on the Russian-Ukrainian border has decreased over the year by 10 percent and amounted to seven million people.

Significantly decreased and the number of Ukrainian citizens that traveled to Belarus (9 percent) and Moldova (over 6 percent).

Just 2019, the Ukrainian border was crossed by more than 102 million people. At the same time at the land border crossing points the passenger flow to the EU remained at the level of 2018. However, the Ukrainians in the last year were 30 percent more likely to use the aircraft more than 15 million people.

In July 2019, it was reported that almost one-fifth of Ukraine’s total population is working abroad. According to 2018, abroad were 3.2 million Ukrainian labour migrants.
