Indigenous peoples of Yamal will be able to catch more fish

On the Yamal Peninsula, the representatives of indigenous minority peoples of the North were allowed to produce 30 tonnes of whitefish species of fish more than last year, according to the website of the regional government.

So, in 2020, the fishermen will be able to produce up to 180 tons ciry, cigy piilani, Cisco, and Peled. It is 30 tons more than in 2019. According to the Deputy Director of the regional Department of agriculture Vyacheslav Ugulava, such quotas received more than two thousand people.

“But they must abide by the fishing rules, aimed at protection of spawning and wintering of sturgeon and whitefish species of fish. To get a quota, must apply to the Department of agriculture. Otherwise, the catch will be considered illegal,” said Zhegulev.

Earlier in the North of Russia a local resident caught in one of the ponds Noyabrsk unusual for the region the fish rotan, which can be dangerous to the ecosystem. According to experts, the appearance of this fish in the new ecosystem can be dangerous, because “rotan omnivore, it eats everything in its path, feeding on eggs and fry of other fish species”.
