The head of the Federal tax service (FTS) Mikhail Mishustin, who is the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has suggested to appoint to the post of Prime Minister, visited the state Duma, reports “Interfax”.
According to the Agency, he met with members of the lower house of Parliament. “The Chairman of the state Duma has collected an extraordinary meeting of the Council of the state Duma, it is already underway, with the participation of heads of all fractions of the state Duma”, — is told in the message a press-services.
Earlier, Putin held a meeting with Mishustin, offering him the post of Prime Minister. He agreed, and his candidacy was submitted for consideration of deputies of the state Duma. The faction “United Russia” in the state Duma urged to promptly approve mishustina in connection with the urgency assigned to the government task.
The Russian leader dismissed the government headed by Dmitry Medvedev on January 15. He thanked the government for the work and instructed to perform their duties before formation of new Cabinet of Ministers. According to Putin, he is satisfied with the results achieved.
