Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to the head of Federal tax service (FTS) Mikhail Mishustin become the new Prime Minister, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the Kremlin.
The head of state held a meeting with Mishustin, offering him the post of Prime Minister. He agreed, and his candidacy was submitted for consideration of deputies of the state Duma.
The post of Prime Minister became vacant after Dmitry Medvedev on 15 January announced the resignation of the government. At the initiative of Putin, he will move to the position of Deputy Chairman of the security Council, which is headed by the President himself.
Mishustin headed FNS from April 2010. Prior to joining the IRS was engaged in business and worked in various positions in the government of Russia, in particular in ROSNEDVIZHIMOSTI and RosOEZ. Doctorate in economic Sciences. He is married and has three sons, enjoys hockey.
