In Russia it is necessary to create a unified end-to-end register of recipients of preferential medicines, to avoid confusion with the procurement of medicines and to eliminate shortages of essential drugs. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin said during annual address to the Federal Assembly broadcast which leads to the Youtube channel “Russia 24”.
“I know that in the past year in some regions was irregular supply of drugs because the purchases were actually broken. Some officials allow themselves to talk as if it was a purchase of office supplies. Such a situation must never recur,” warned the President. He noted that the establishment of a special register should help to avoid similar situations.
“Also the decision on the import of some specreports that do not yet have a permit. I ask the government to debug this work, to avoid situations where the desired medication is impossible to legally get”, — said Putin.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev announced the expansion of the list of drugs that can obtain preferential categories of citizens. Drugs to treat complex diseases “quite expensive”, but people with rare diseases in them especially in need, said Medvedev.
