Jagannatha whole body is covered with rough and cracked dry skin that resembles the scales of a snake. The reason for this incurable disease lamellar ichthyosis. According to locals, the boy every hour to swim and several times a day to moisturize the skin creams.

Because of the extreme dryness of the skin Jagannath hardly moves. His father Prabhakar Pradhan works in a rice field and can not pay for the treatment. “My heart is torn because I have no money to help his son, admits Pradhan. — He is suffering every day from this damn disease.”
