Because of the extreme dryness of the skin Jagannath hardly moves. His father Prabhakar Pradhan works in a rice field and can not pay for the treatment. “My heart is torn because I have no money to help his son, admits Pradhan. — He is suffering every day from this damn disease.”
Lamellar ichthyosis — an extremely rare congenital skin disease, occurring in one out of 600 thousand people. This disease cannot be cured, however, you can ease the symptoms with medications and moisturizers.
