The research Director of Gaidar Institute Sergey Drobyshevsky questioned the effectiveness of implemented Russia’s national projects and benefit from them for the country’s economy. The corresponding statement he made during a panel discussion on “Horizons of economic policy” at the Gaidar forum at the Ranepa, the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.
“The contribution to GDP from national projects, even if their full realization is quite modest — approximately 0.5-0.7 per cent per year”, — said the Drobyshevsky.
Thus, according to him, the projects can play the other signal role in the economic development of the country. “In 2018, after the presidential decree was the chosen economic model, based on the leading role of the state. In this sense, the projects will play a leading and backbone role. If a private business will support the state initiative, the growth rate of 3-5 percent per annum is possible,” the economist said.
The Russian economy, he said, over the last decade made a “serious step in the direction of the departure from dependence on oil prices”. “Although this was largely not due to government action, but by itself”, — said the Drobyshevsky.
Forum is held in Ranepa on January 15-16. It is organized by the Ranepa, the Gaidar Institute and the Association of innovative regions of Russia. “Ribbon.ru” is an informational partner of the forum.
