Ukrainian deputies from the party “servant of the people” appealed to the security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in connection with the disclosure of audio recordings of the meeting, Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk, in which he called himself a layman in the economy and criticized President Vladimir Zelensky. Parliamentarians asked the SBU to conduct an investigation in connection with possible wiretapping of the Prime Minister. In “the Servant of the people” said that the party will work towards establishing the legitimacy of information, but also information about its “credibility and integrity”.
According to the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Elena Shulyak, there are three assumptions, how exactly scandalous information could be received and distributed in the network.
“First, (…) in the framework of a criminal investigation, which, as we know, no. Secondly, in the framework of counter-intelligence activities. On these activities we do not know” she said, adding that the information could also be obtained by way of wiretapping high-ranking officials.
