The majority of Millennials considered the real beginning of world war III. This is stated in the press release of the International Committee of the red cross (ICRC), arrived in edition “Tapes.ru”.
The report States that Millennials look to the future with dismay as the world situation worsened. In particular, 47 percent of respondents believe that the advent of a third world war more likely than not. The vast majority of respondents said that the use of nuclear weapons is unacceptable.
“If the Millennials are right in regard to the third world war, the suffering of entire countries and regions will be enormous. It’s a reminder of how important it is to respect the laws of war that protect humanity,” said ICRC President Peter Maurer. The document emphasizes that some of the data can be called optimistic. For example, 74 percent of respondents said that the war can still be avoided.
Despite concern over a potential nuclear war, it Millennials worry is not so much as it is about corruption — it is in first place in the list of issues of concern. Respondents also worried about unemployment, rising poverty and terrorism.
