The leader of the political Council of the main opposition party in Ukraine, “the Opposition platform For life” Viktor Medvedchuk questioned the departure of Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk, which gave President Vladimir Zelensky resignation. It is reported

According to the Constitution, resignation of the head of government may submit only to the Verkhovna Rada, said Medvedchuk. “In this case is a cheap publicity stunt Goncharuk, has nothing to do with the resignation of the Prime Minister,” — said the politician.

According to Medvedchuk, the government Goncharuk deserved retirement, “but it, unfortunately, will not.”

Earlier it was reported that Zelensky next weekend will hold workshops and “international consultations” on the phone on the candidacy of the new Prime Minister.

Goncharuk resigned because of the publication of wiretaps of government meetings at which he is supposed to be made unflattering comments about the knowledge Zelensky in the economy, and called himself a layman. The Prime Minister, in turn, said that the record was assembled.

In parliamentary elections in 2019, “the Opposition platform For life” received second place.
