The smartphone Huawei will be advertising. Thus, the company intends to increase revenue per device sold, reports MySmartPrice.
The journalists found mention built-in advertising system in the shell EMUI in one of the smartphones running HarmonyOS with Huawei Mobile Services. In the user agreements, a document was found which described the advertising mechanism.
The text stated that user’s personal data will be kept for one year on servers in Hong Kong and Singapore. Information may also be processed in local data centers at the place of residence of the owner of the smartphone. The document States that Huawei has the right to collect data about the user’s location, if he will consent.

Huawei is not the first company which is going to display advertisements in their devices. Such practices in budget devices use other Chinese smartphone manufacturers, Xiaomi and Realme.
