Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the creation of an open center with archival documents to the 75-anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war will help to prevent the distortion of history. He said this during the meeting in St. Petersburg with veterans and members of Patriotic organizations, reports “Interfax”.
According to the Russian leader, the submissions will prove the true position of Moscow. “We shut the filthy mouth that open, some leaders are over the hill in order to achieve short-term political goals. We shut it truthful to fundamental information”, — quotes its words Agency.
As an example of a country that does not allow the distortion of history, the head of state gave Israel, which does not allow others to forget about the Holocaust. “But we must not allow forget the victims of other peoples of the USSR, the Russian people,” Putin said, urging not to allow “attempts to present the story in a completely bad light”. The President added that Soviet citizens were killed defending their homeland and “almost the whole world from the brown plague”.
Earlier, the head of state promised to allocate to veterans for 75 thousand rubles and 50 thousand home front workers.
In his address to the Federal Assembly on 15 January, the Russian leader announced the creation of the world’s most comprehensive archive of documents about the great Patriotic war. “We must protect the truth about Win, otherwise what do we tell the children, if false, as the infection will spread around the world?” — asked the Russian leader.
This purpose will be created available both to Russians and to foreigners meeting — archival documents, photos and videos about the war. Putin stressed that the Russian debt to future generations.
