The founder of the American company SpaceX Elon Musk has planned to send to Mars million people by 2050. This writes the Business Insider.
It is noted that the construction of manned reusable spacecraft Dragon Crew, which currently runs SpaceX, is part of an ambitious plan to colonize Mars. Musk expects that by the middle of this century on this planet can take on average three ships a day.
Musk intends to improve the Dragon ship Crew so that he could simultaneously take on Board up to 100 people and 100 tons of cargo.
In September 2019 Elon Musk unveiled a prototype of a reusable space vehicle capable of carrying cargo and astronauts to Mars and the moon. The spacecraft called the Starship. Its length is 50 meters, and the weight excluding fuel and cargo of about 120 tons. During the presentation, Musk said that Starship, capable of carrying up to 100 people can be the basis for the colonization of Mars and the moon.
